Friendship Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.  1549

Arriving for another evening at Southport Masonic Hall and the sun is still visible. How good that feels.

Friendship is not a large lodge, but one of quality with a healthy ladder and a very warm welcome. Adding to that number this evening, the advancement of Christopher Wright.

W.Bro’s Alan Foster and Roy Crawford were on hand to assist the lodge by occupying the chairs of S.O and J.D respectively.

Salutations were offered to Grand and Prov.Grand officers by the D.C, W.Bro. Mark Cooper.

Chris was admitted in due form and escorted by the acting S.D for the evening, W. Bro. Keith Wilson, Pr.G.Std.B, his proposer into the Lodge.

The W.M, W.Bro. Alan Taylor, then examined the candidate and entrusted him with the sign and token of a mark man. He was then duly obligated.

The ceremony was conducted in fine manner, after which Bro. Chris expressed his “Surprise and delight” to the W .M, for the way in which he was advanced, thanking all involved.

W.Bro. Roy Hedges. Deputy Special Representative, then welcomed Bro. Chris into the lodge and the Mark degree, with a personal letter from the R.W.P.G.M, highlighting his invitation to Pr. G. Mark Lodge and membership of R.A.M degree.

The secretary, W.Bro. Kevin Chicken Pr. G . Secretary, then reminded the Lodge of the visit in May by the P.G.M and his team

There will also be another advancement in October - Excellent news on both fronts.
